Man sentenced to 7 years imprisonment for abducting minor girl

A fast track court here today sentenced a 24-year-old man to seven years imprisonment for abducting a minor girl at Panchenda village in 2010.

Judge Manoj Kumar Mishra also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on convict Bhura after holding him guilty under Sections 363 and 366 (abduction) of IPC.

According to government counsel Naresh Sharma, Bhura had abducted the 14-year-old girl while she was returning from school on April 13, 2010.

The girl was rescued after three days and the accused arrested.
