Man shot dead in Goa bar over brawl

A 42-year-old man was shot dead following a brawl in a bar located in Rawanfond locality near Margao town today, the police said.

Abdul Kadar Valikar, a mason, was shot at from the point blank range by an unidentified man this afternoon.

According to the Margao Police, the accused is on the run.

Police said Valikar had a heated argument with the unidentified man on some petty issue, following which the latter pulled out a gun and fired.

"We are gathering details about the incident," a senior police official said.
