A 45-year-old man was shot dead by some unidentified gunmen at his residence in Dhaurahara village here, police said today.
The victim, identified as Satyendra Singh, was sleeping at his home, when the assailants entered his house last night and shot him on his head at point-blank range, killing him on the spot, police said.
The incident took place under the Chaubeypur police station.
The body has been sent for postmortem and an investigation is on to ascertain the identity of the accused, police said.
