Man stabbed at marriage party over old enmity

A man was stabbed to death by the owner of a DJ group over old enmity at a marriage party here, police said today.

Sanjay Yadav was stabbed over 10 times by his neighbour Pradeep over an old enmity, SHO Loni Kotwali O P Chowdhary said.

"Yesterday Yadav had reached the marriage party without invitation and started dancing. He entered into a argument with the DJ after being denied a song. Following which the DJ called the group's owner, Pradeep, who along with his brother, confronted the victim," the SHO said.

Out of anger Pradeep stabbed Yadav with a knife, Chowdhary said, adding after being informed about the incident police reached the spot, arrested Pradeep and recovered the murder weapon.
 

The accused has been booked for murder, he added.
