Four unidentified men stabbed a 25-year-old man to death in a park in outer Delhi's Mangolpuri area, the police said today.

The victim got into a quarrel with the four men after they snatched his belongings yesterday.

The deceased identified as Rinku, a driver, was a resident of Budh Vihar Phase One, they said.

In a complaint filed yesterday by a person named Vinod, it was alleged that Rinku had gone for a walk in the park at around 9 pm when suddenly, four men overpowered him.

They snatched his cell phone and wallet following which he rushed to the main gate of the park, said a police officer.

Police said Vinod was waiting outside the park for Rinku when the alleged incident occurred.

Rinku used to work as a driver for Vinod.

The victim immediately rushed to Vinod to narrate the incident. Chasing Rinku, the four men also arrived at the main entrance of the park and picked up a fight with the duo.

During the quarrel, the men stabbed Rinku with a knife on his right thigh. Meanwhile, Vinod sustained minor injuries, the officer added.

Rinku was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during the course of treatment. The body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.

Based on a complaint, a case has been registered and further investigation is underway. Efforts are being made to trace the accused, the police officer said.
