Man stabbed to death on board Doon Express

A 23-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified persons on board the Doon Express near here, Government Railway Police (GRP) said today.

The incident took place last night when Azam Siddiqui was travelling from Dehradun to Lucknow on the Doon Express following which unidentified miscreants attacked him with knives, they said.

Siddique, who worked in Dehradun was travelling to Lucknow to visit his father.

On being informed about the incident, the GRP officials retrieved the deceased's body from Nagina railway station.

Investigation is on in the case and efforts are being made to nab the absconding accused, GRP officials said.
