Man stabs wife to death

A man allegedly stabbed his wife to

death in Lashkarpur area here, police said today.

The 40-year-old accused, Ram Agarwal yesterday killed his wife Seema, with the help of an accomplice, police said.

The deceased was staying separately with her three children after frequent disputes between them.

Her husband yesterday called her to his room and locked himself up with her and a friend. After some time, cries were heard coming from their room by the neighbours, they said.

Ram's friend opened the door soon and the duo moved out with their faces covered, the neighbours informed police, who then broke open the door and found Seema lying in a pool of blood.
 

She had been clobbered with a baton and stabbed with a pair of scissors, police said adding that efforts are on to nab the accused who are absconding.
