A 25-year-old man was allegedly
stoned to death by two persons who later dumped his body in a septic tank, police said today.
The accused identified as Sonu alias Shiv Raj Singh (24) and Arvind Shinde (23) were arrested for murdering one Babu, Mumbra police station sub inspector D D Thokal told PTI.
They attacked the victim, who was jobless, with a stone yesterday in Sai Vihar housing complex in Diva and later dumped his body in the septic tank of the building, he said.
The body was recovered last evening and a case under section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code was registered, he said adding investigations were underway.
