Man wanted in alleged kidnapping and rape of girl arrested

The Special Cell of Delhi Police today arrested an alleged sharp shooter of a gang who was also wanted in kidnapping and rape of a girl, from Najafgarh area.

"The accused Mohit Rohilla aka Bhura, a sharp shooter of Shakti gang in Gopal Nagar area of Najafgarh, who is also wanted in an attempt to murder case and a rape case was today arrested near Nanak wali Piau in Najafgarh, said Rajiv Ranjan, DCP of Special Cell."

Bhura and his accomplice Arun had kidnapped and raped a girl on September 22, 2014 and an FIR was registered in this connection at Baba Haridas Nagar Police station, the officer said.
 

Following this, Bhura was absconding and joined local criminals. He and other members of Shakti gang were also wanted in connection with an attempt to murder at Gangotri Enclave in Najafgarh where they had tried to kill one Pradip.

After a fallout with gang members, Bhura ran away to Chattisgarh in December 2014. He had returned back to join the gang again and was scheduled to meet an accomplice when he was caught by Special Cell cops, added the officer.
