Bodies of a man and a woman, who are related to each other, were found today in an enclosed tempo in Narela area of Outer Delhi, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Poonam (24) and Manisha (21). It has been found that they were related to each other. Manisha is the wife of Poonam's brother-in law. They allegedly committed suicide after consuming insecticides, said police.

Police suspected it to be a case of suicide pact. Both were residents of Libaspur in Delhi. The incident came to light when their relatives started searching for them after they went missing for hours.

The bodies were spotted lying in a parked tempo by a passerby who immediately informed the police. Two empty glasses were reportedly found near their bodies. They were taken to a nearby hospital but were declared brought dead.

The police are suspecting it to be a case of suicide. Police sources said preliminary enquiries did not reveal any foul play.

No injury marks were noticed on their bodies and no suicide note was recovered from the spot, police said.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
