Mandal Surveyor in ACB net for accepting bribe from farmer

A Mandal surveyor of Rolugunta mandal was caught red-handed by officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 at his office in the district today.

According to ACB officials, a farmer from Ravikamatham mandal had approached R Satyanarayana, the surveyor, for mutation of revenue record after a survey of his land.

The surveyor demanded Rs 5,000 and finally agreed to accept Rs 3,000 for issuing the land demarcation report.

The farmer then approached the ACB, which laid a trap for the official and arrested him.
