As part of Manipal
University's social initiative to provide quality healthcare at affordable cost, Manipal Arogya Card Scheme 2014 has been launched by the Chancellor of the University, Dr Ramdas M Pai, at Manipal near here.
The Card instituted in 2001 and launched on Thursday last, enables a member to avail large benefits by way of discounts on inpatient and outpatient treatment in the hospitals under Manipal Health Enterprises in the Coastal belt, a press release here said.
Rs two crores worth of benefits were provided to the card holders during the operation of the scheme in 2013, which also gives discounts on treatment of pre-existing diseases, the release said.
