Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today told the state Assembly that works for setting up of a Cultural University in the state would be taken up very soon.
A bill to establish Manipur Cultural University was passed unanimously in the last budget session of the Assembly in March last.
The chief minister also said that cultural policy of Manipur would be in the agenda of his next cabinet meeting.

He informed the House that his government was thinking of selling locally brewed liquor to other states by lifting ban on local liquor after discussion with the civil society organisations of the state.
The move was aimed at generating revenue, he said.
