Maoist arrested

CPI(Maoist) Bikash squad of Lalgarh was arrested by the police from Taldangra in West Bengal's Bankura district.

He was alleged to have been involved in a number of Maoist activities in 2010 and 2011.

Police arrested him from his residence at Dangrasole village late last night and seized one single barrel gun, cartridges and Maoist leaflets.

His bike which has no numberplate was also seized.

He was produced before the local court which remanded him to 14 days police remand.
