Maoist 'firing squad' member arrested

An ultra, stated to be a member of a 'firing squad' of the CPI (Maoist), was today arrested in Khunti district, the police said here.

Nirmal, a member of the Maoist firing squad led by "area commander" Chandan Pahan, was arrested at Bazaar Tand in Khunti, Sub-divisional Police Officer Deepak Sharma said.

The arrested ultra, hailing from Kota village in the district, was active in the rebel outfit for the last three years, the SDPO said.
