Maoist's bail petition rejected

A court here today dismissed the bail petition filed by one of the five Maoists arrested in May from the city outskirts.

Shyna, along with her husband Roopesh and three others, was arrested from Karumathampatti on May 4 and was in police custody for interrogation.

She had filed a bail plea and after hearing the arguments of both the prosecution and the defence, Principal District Sessions Court Judge Pongiyappan dismissed the petition.
