Maoist sympathisers arrested, let off

Five Maoist sympathisers were arrested here today after they were found carrying notices and pamphlets hailing them.

The arrests were made from near the stadium where the Independence day programme was being held, City police commissioner, H Venkatesh said.

The five were later released.
