Margaret Qualley to star in 'Death Note'

Margaret Qualley, daughter of actress Andie MacDowell, will star in a new movie "Death Note".

Warner Bros chose Margaret for the female lead of the film , which is an adaptation of the Japanese manga series, reported Deadline.

She is in negotiations for the role opposite male lead Nat Wolff.

The story follows a student, who after discovering a supernatural notebook that allows him to kill anyone by writing the victim's name, attempts to cleanse the world of evil by using the book.

Adam Wingard is directing with a script by Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four).

Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Jason Hoffs and Masi Oka are producing, with Doug Davison and Brian Witten executive producing.
