A married woman was today found hanged to death at Sector 11 here, with her parents alleging that she was killed for dowry, police said.
Last night, after dinner, the deceased, Krishna Poswal, went to sleep with her husband, Lalit Poswal and when her husband woke up this morning, he found Krishna hanging from the ceiling fan, SP City Yogesh Singh said.
Lalit soon informed the police, but by the time the police reached there he had lifted the body and placed it on the bed, police said.
Both, the husband and wife were software engineers and had got married eight months ago, police said.
Krishna's parents alleged that she was killed for dowry, police said.
Lalit has been taken into custody for interrogation and the body has been sent for postmortem, they said.
