The mortal remains of Army Havildar Narendra Singh Bisht were consigned to flames at Haridwar's Kharkhari cremation ground today amid full military honours.
The funeral pyre was lit collectively by his younger brother and two daughters.
Bisht had sustained grievous head injuries during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri sector on August 7.

He breathed his last during treatment at Army Hospital Jammu on Tuesday.
Earlier, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat paid a visit to the martyr's home at Selaqui near Dehradun before his cremation and placed a floral wreath on his body.
Rawat also participated in his funeral and consoled the aggrieved family members saying the entire state was with them at this hour of crisis.
Describing the martyred soldier as the pride of the state and the nation, the Chief Minister said he saluted the supreme sacrifice Bisht had made for the country.
A floral wreath was also placed on the martyr's body on behalf of Governor K K Paul as a mark of respect.
Pradesh Congress President Pritam Singh also paid tributes to the martyr.
