Shares of Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today rose by 3 per cent after the company reported 8.7 per cent increase in total sales in February.
Scrip of the country's largest carmaker ended 2.48 per cent higher at Rs 3,707.95 on the BSE. During the day, it climbed 2.95 per cent to Rs 3,725.
At the NSE, it settled with a gain of 3.01 per cent at Rs 3,730.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today reported 8.7 per cent increase in total sales for February at 1,18,551 units against 1,09,104 units in the same period of last year.
The company said its domestic sales increased by 8.2 per cent during the month to 1,07,892 units compared with 99,758 units in February 2014.
Sales of mini segment cars, including Alto and WagonR, rose 7.1 per cent to 39,988 units against 37,342 units in the year-ago period, MSI said in a statement.
