A five-member masked gang today robbed two women of 19 sovereigns of gold after tying them up at Puduthamaraipatti near here today.
The gang, covering their face with a black cloth, entered the house belonging to a lorry driver and attacked his wife and mother as they were sleeping. They then decamped with the valuables, police said.
A case has been registered.
