Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrim dies of fall

A pilgrim on his way to cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi today fell to his death after slipping from Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said.

B Parmanund (57) of Maharashtra slipped from hill en route the cave shrine in Trikuta hills of Katra belt of the district today and was critically injured, a police officer said.

He was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, he said, adding that further details are awaited.
