Matt Lucas undergoes surgery

Funnyman Matt Lucas is recovering after undergoing root canal surgery last week.

The 39-year-old "Bridesmaids" star sought professional help for his tooth problems and he kept fans updated about the procedure on his Twitter, reported Contactmusic.

Lucas uploaded a photograph of himself in the dentist's chair, to show off a personalised greetings card, depicting a smiling mouth.

"Post-root canal surgery soreness feels better when your friend... Sends you a bespoke Get Well Soon card," Lucas posted.
