The list of BJP candidates contesting for various civic body polls in Tamil Nadu, including Mayoral elections, is likely to be announced on September three, a top party leader said today.
The party has decided to contest the elections and would consult the candidatures with senior party leaders, BJP's Tamil Nadu unit president, Tamilisai Soundararajan told reporters here.
The names, including those for Mayoral candiates for Coimbatore and Tirunelveli, would be placed and finalised in the meeting of office bearers on September two, she said.
The final list is likely to be released on September three, she said.
Tamilisai was on her way to Tirupur to attend the marriage of the daughter of former party MP,C P Radhakrishnan.
