MD, GM of UP Forest corp suspended

Managing Director and General Manager of Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation were today suspended for allegedly not ensuring payment to labourers.

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav suspended MD Forest Corporation Umendra and GM Atibal Singh, according to an official release.

They were found guilty in an inquiry of not ensuring payment to 51,088 labourers engaged in plucking 'tendu' leaves.
