The NIA team, led by a Dy SP from Hyderabad, conducted the searches in the presence of Tej Ram amid tight security, an NIA source told PTI over phone.
NIA sleuths also collected some material including a battery and a key from Tej Ram's house.
Depalpur station In-charge, Ghanshyam Bamaniya, said the NIA squad was provided necessary assistance by local police.
Tej Ram, believed to be a member of right-wing group that is suspected to be behind the Samjhauta Express blast which claimed 68 lives on February 18, 2007, was arrested by NIA on December 25 from Delapur of Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
He was produced before a court in Hyderabad on December 27, which sent him to 18-day police custody.
While nine people were killed in the Mecca Masjid blast during Friday prayers on May 18, 2007, five more people were killed in police firing on protesters outside the mosque after the explosions.
