Medical officer caught taking bribe

A medical officer was caught while he was taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 by state vigilance bureau in Bihar's Katihar district.

Acting on a complaint, a team of state vigilance bureau caught an in-charge of primary health centre at Sameli while he was taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person, a statement from state vigilance bureau said.

The officer Jaibind Jha had sought Rs 10,000 for hiring vehicles for the primary health centre, it said.
