Medical professor held for accepting bribe

An assistant professor of Bundelkhand Medical College was today arrested by Lokayukta Police for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 4,000 from a man to extend official favour.

Dr. Rahul Dev, attached to Psychiatry department of the college, was held when he was accepting the amount at his private clinic.

Lokayukta police inspector K K Agarwal said Dev sought the illegal gratification from the complainant for issuing certificate of mental handicap to his daughter.
