Medium sugar eases on subdued demand

Medium sugar prices eased at the Vashi wholesale market here today on subdued demand from stockist and bulk consumer amidst mild selling by mills.

Medium sugar (M-30) edged-down by Rs 6 per quintal to Rs 3,162/3,376 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,162/3,382.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,042/3,142 (Rs 3,042/3,142).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,162/3,376 (Rs 3,162/3,382).
