Medium sugar edges down in mute trade

Prices of medium sugar edged down in an otherwise mute Vashi wholesale market following sluggish demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample supply from producing region.

On the other hand, small sugar ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Medium sugar (M-30) softened by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 3,650/3,896 from Thursday's close Rs 3,650/3,900.

Small sugar (S-30) ended unaltered at Rs 3,542/3,762 per quintal
