Medium sugar ends mixed in sluggish trade

Medium sugar prices ended mixed at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

While, small sugar eased due reduced offtake from stockist and millers.

Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,172/3,322 per quintal.

However, small sugar (S-30) edged down by Rs 3 per quintal to Rs 3,062/3,142 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,062/3,145.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,172/3,322 (Rs 3,192/3,321).

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,062/3,142 (Rs 3,062/3,145).
