Medium sugar prices firmed up in an otherwise lackluster Vashi wholesale market here today following rising demand from stockists and retailers.
While, small sugar ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
Medium sugar (M-30) prices gained further by Rs 4/10 per quintal at Rs 3,716/3,862 from last Saturday's close Rs 3,712/3,852.
However, small sugar (S-30) closed unchanged at Rs 3,612/3,755 per quintal.

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,612/3,755 (Rs 3,612/3,755).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,716/3,862 (Rs 3,712/3,852).
