Medium sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale market here today on good demand from stockist and retailers on the back of ensuing festivities.
While, small sugar eased further due to selling from stockist and subdued demand from bulk consumers.
Medium sugar (M-30) climbed by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,092/3,246 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,082/3,246.
However, small sugar (S-30) edged-down by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 2,920/3,090 as against Rs 2,922/3,090.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,922/3,090 (Rs 2,922/3,090).
Medium sugar(M-30) quality: Rs 3,092/3,246 (Rs 3,082/3,246).
