Mel B throws water at Simon Cowell for marriage remark

Singer Mel B threw water at Simon Cowell after the music mogul made a sly comment on her broken marriage.

The 42-year-old former Spice Girl, who co-judges "America's Got Talent" with Cowell splashed water on his face after the latter compared the performance of a contestant to her troubled relationship with ex Stephen Belafonte, reported Evening Standard.

After host Tyra Banks asked Cowell, 57, for his critique, he said, "I feel like this would be a lot like Mel's wedding night..."

On hearing this, a stunned Mel B got up and flung water on his face and stormed off the stage.
 

A cool Cowell, however, continued to comment, further describing the act as one with "a lot of anticipation... Not much promise or delivery."

Meanwhile, Banks said, "Mel B is out. This is live TV y'all. Live TV."

Mel B is currently in the process of divorcing Belafonte, her husband of 10 years, amid domestic violence allegations towards him.
