Melissa Benoist, Sam Heughan to star in 'Oxford'

"Outlander" star Sam Heughan and "Supergirl" actress Melissa Benoist will come together for Screen Gems romantic-drama "Oxford."

Penned by Allison Burnett, the film revolves around an American Rhodes Scholar, who after arriving at Oxford University, falls for an arrogant teaching assistant quietly fighting terminal cancer, reported Variety.

When she finds out the reason of him being so reserved, they try and make the most of each day, travelling the world together.

Temple Hill's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are producing the project.

Screen Gems is still on search for the director.
