Mentha oil prices fell 1.17 per cent to Rs 1,366.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions following weak trends from physical markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery this month declined Rs 16.20, or 1.17 per cent, to Rs 1,366.40 per kg, in a business turnover of 226 lots.
The oil for delivery in March traded Rs 13.70, or 1 per cent, lower at Rs 1,370 per kg in 140 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants amid subdued demand from consuming industries in spot market led to the decline in futures prices.
Mentha oil prices were trading lower at spot markets on higher supplies from major producing regions of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
