Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices edged up by 0.19 per cent to Rs 909.60 per kg in futures market today as participants widened positions, driven by uptick in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Besides, tight stocks on restricted supplies from producing regions supported the upside.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March rose by Rs 1.70, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 909.60 per kg, in a business turnover of 263 lots.

Likewise, the April contracts traded higher by Rs 1.20, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 921.50 per kg in 13 lots.

Analysts said strengthening of positions by traders supported by pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market amid restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
