Mentha oil up 1% on strong demand

Mentha oil prices were up by one% to Rs 663.50 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in creating positions supported by strong demand at spot markets from consuming industries.
Besides, restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh too fuelled the uptrend.
However, estimates on higher output capped gains in mentha oil prices, trader said.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September gained Rs 6.60, or 1%, to Rs 663.50 per kg with a trading volume of 260 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in October edged higher by Rs 6.30, or 0.94%, to Rs 673.80 per kg with a business turnover of 215 lots.
