Merchants Chamber of UP to take orphans for chopper ride

To mark Independence day celebrations, Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh will take sixty orphan children on a helicopter ride.

The children between 5 to 18 years of age will travel in helicopter for about ten minutes.

"This initiative aims to provide children from four city orphanages a new experience," Anita Jha, Secretary General, Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, said.

"The children, who have never travelled in a helicopter, are excited about the ride," she said.

The ride will commence tomorrow at noon from IIT Kanpur helipad, which recently launched its premier helicopter service.
