It is likely to be more hotter tomorrow with the weatherman predicting that the day temperature may rise to 45 degree Celsius.

Today's maximum was four degrees above normal and up from yesterday's 42.2 degree Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 27.3 degrees, up from yesterday's 26.3 degrees and one degree above normal.

"It was too hot today. The hot winds also made the day miserable. I desperately wanted to be indoors but my professional commitments made me come out of the cool comforts of office," said Abhirami Ram, a management executive.

Today's humidity levels were low compared to the recent past. Humidity oscillated between nine and 36 per cent.

Earlier on May ten and 11, the city had recorded a maximum of 42.6 degree Celsius, the season's hottest so far.

According to the MeT Office, it will be a clear sky tomorrow with the temperature oscillating between 28 and 45 degree Celsius.
