Middle-aged man murdered over land dispute

A 51-year-old villager of Ganjad in Dahanu in the district district was allegedly murdered over a dispute, police said.

The victim Chintya Sawra was killed by 30-year-old Pandu Sawra over a land related dispute, police inspector Nagesh Jadhav of Dahanu police station said.

About 8.30 pm on October 3, the alleged accused attacked Chintya with a sickle, following which he died.

The accused has been arrested and charged under sections 302 (murder), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC, police added.
