Mild quake in Odisha

An earthquake of "slight" intensity with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter Scale was recorded at some places of Puri district in Odisha today.

The tremor occurred at 8.36 AM with its epicentre at about 40 km from the seismological observatory here, the Meteorological Centre said.

No damage to property or harm to anyone was reported due to the mild earthquake felt in Astaran and nearby areas, official sources said.
