Mild tremors felt in Punjab

Mild tremors were today experienced in the areas of Punjab lying along the border with Himachal Pradesh, the meteorological office in Shimla has reported.

An earthquake of 4.9 magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded at 8.23 P.M. With its epicentre near Hoshiarpur in Punjab, the MeT office said, adding that further details were awaited.
