Mild tremors felt in Uttarkashi

Mild tremors were felt in Uttarkashi and neighbouring areas of Uttarakhand in the wee hours today as an earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale shook the district.

The tremors which occurred at around 2 am were of slight intensity and epicentred in the Tehri Garhwal region, the MeT office here said.

The quake had a latitude of 30.4 degrees north and longitude of 78.3 degrees east, it said.
