Troops of the 16th Assam Rifles of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Head Quarters, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) apprehended a cadre of outlawed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) on August 24, at Yumnampatlou area in Manipur's Imphal East district, a police press release said today.
The apprehended was identified as self-styled lance Corporal Maibam Pukchao alias Bishorjit meitei (22) of Yumnam Patlou village of Manipur's Imphal East district, the release said.
The arrested UNLF cadre has been handed over to the Sagolmang police station for further investigation, the release added.
