Suspected militants attacked polling officials when they were leaving after polling ended in Shopian district of south Kashmir, leaving several persons injured.
Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, A G Mir told reporters that a firing incident was reported from Shopian late this evening.
Some security force personnel have been injured in the attack, Mir said, adding, further details are being ascertained.
