Military helicopter crashes in Egypt

An Egyptian military helicopter crashed today due to a "sudden technical malfunction", injuring the crew members, the army spokesperson said.
He said it was conducting a surveillance mission in northeast of Cairo in the Ismailia province when a "technical malfunction" caused it to suddenly lose altitude, army spokesman Mohamed Samir said in a statement.
The crew members of the helicopter suffered injuries. They were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The statement did not specify how many crew members were injured or how badly they were hurt.
