Mindy Kaling to star in late-night talk show movie

Actress Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson are set to star in an untitled movie revolving around a veteran late-night talk show host.

Scott Rudin will produce with Howard Klein and Kaling, who has also penned the story, reported Variety.

The story follows a venerated late-night talk show host, played by Thompson, who's in danger of losing her long-running show right when she hires her first female writer, played by Kaling.

According to the sources the film can be described as "The Devil Wears Prada" meets "Broadcast News.
