Minimum temperature rises in Himachal Pradesh

Minimum temperatures rose by a few notches and was four to nine degrees above normal in most parts of Himachal Pradesh in inspite of clouded sky.

Una in Shivalik foothills was the hottest during the day recording a high of 39.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 26.4 degrees Celsius, nine degrees above normal, the MeT office said.

Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest with minimum temperature of 7.4 degrees Celsius, while Manali and Kalpa recorded a low of 9 degrees Celsius and 10.4 degrees Celsius respectively.

The minimum temperature in Dharamsala was 16.6 degrees Celsius, Shimla and Chamba 17.2 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 17.6 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 20.8 degrees Celsius and Nahan 21.6 degrees Celsius.
 

The maximum temperature in Sundernagar was 33.9 degrees Celsius, followed by Nahan 33.2 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 32.2 degrees Celsius, Solan 30 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 28.8 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 24.6 degrees Celsius, Shimla and Manali 24.2 degrees Celsius.

The MeT office has predicted rains or thundershowers at isolated places in the mid hills over the next six days and in lower and higher hills from May 11 to 14.
